We wish to be a spiritual powerhouse by maintaining full compliance with the magisterium of the Catholic Church. We intend to have the Legion of Mary, the Holy Name Society, and the parish council to make sure we comply with the wishes of our bishop and Pope. In saying this I do not mean that we will remain inactive. On the contrary, I mean that we will do all in our power to be the Catholic Church on the move. We will endeavor to be in tune with what is happening in the Catholic Church and in the world.

We will continue to uphold the classic, unchangeable morality that has been passed on to us. We will continue to foster devotion to the Blessed Mother and the saints. In teaching our children, we will strive with all our might to teach them the truths of the Faith from the beginning to the end of their Catholic education. We pray that they will see for themselves that their Catholic education does not end when their CCD programs cease.

I am grateful to God for being assigned pastor of St. Mary's. I can only maintain control if I surrender to the will of God daily. May the Blessed Mother of God continue to intercede for the parish of St. Mary's so that we can admonish sinners, counsel the doubtful, comfort the afflicted, instruct the ignorant, bear wrong patiently, pardon offenses, and pray for the living and for the dead.

Father Jerome Romanowski
