IT'S TIME TO BRING THE DIOCESAN DEBACLE TO A CLOSE
I have requested several months ago that I be reassigned as Pastor at St. Mary's Malaga in January (now), the same as Fr. Josef Wagenhoffer of St. Joseph's in Somers Point. The Congregation of the Clergy must respond to my request, which I made several months ago.
It seems to me that the Chancery office may be attempting to set a record for the most priests forced to retire!
In Jesus' Name,
Fr. Jerome C. Romanowski, Pastor
From Save St. Mary's:
For the record, we fully support our Pastor, Fr. Jerome Romanowski and are so blessed to have him. We know that we never have to doubt his counsel, we know that he is a truly holy priest who loves our Lord and His Mother, and we know that a good and holy priest is not ever something a Catholic can take for granted. We must always cherish and pray for our priests! They bring us closer to God and they bring us the Sacraments. Have no doubt we are behind Fr. Romanowski 100%. If we truly have a "priest shortage" in the Diocese of Camden, Bishop Galante should not force any priests into retirement, should not send any priests to the military chaplaincy, should not persecute any priest because he disagrees with their orthodox positions, and should not send any priest away to "study." We see straight through these absurdities and view them as persecution of the holy priesthood in our diocese. We pray for all priests in our diocese, we pray for vocations, we pray for Bishop Galante that he turn to God in His Mercy, and we love and support our own Pastor!
