Jeff, Julie, Jody Shaw and I all went to Paul VI High School and attended St. Vincent Pallotti Church. The Camden Diocese has chosen to close this church and merge it with one in the neighboring towns of Haddon Heights or Oaklyn. All I can think of is the literally the Sins of our Fathers are being paid by our children.Again, it just goes to show that the "average Joe" doesn't support the "Galante, McGrath & vollmer Program". (Ahem, I mean, "process." Sorry, Ms. vollmer.) Who in the world would want to see their church close? As a matter of fact, I went to church this morning to a different church than I usually go to, and overheard at least two conversations regarding the church closing fiasco and Bishop Galante, and that was just on my way to the cry room. Let's just say it wasn't positive. The people involved were a couple of ushers and choir members, too. This is not what I would call an "activist" parish by any stretch of the imagination, either.
