At noon on June 29, following the Sunday mass, parishioners planted hundreds of homemade crosses on the lawn of the parish.
Family members left the church after mass and proceeded to plant their crosses on the lawn - a lawn which just a year ago was the site of construction that they themselves were funding.
The crosses were, said Friends of St. Vincent Pallotti leaders Ed Pierzynski and Mike Gross in a press release, intended to represent "the burden of the current situation imposed on the parishioners by the bishop's intent."Amen!
