Article on St. Vincent Pallotti's latest!

A cross planting...what a fabulous idea, and congratulations St. Vincent's. There are also a couple nice pictures in addition to a great little article, so be sure and check it out. A big "thank you" is certainly in order for "The Retrospect" on behalf of all Catholics who love the Faith. Keep us informed, will you, Friends of St. Vincent Pallotti? The Council of Parishes and St. Mary's Malaga is behind you every step of the way. God bless you all.

Quote:
Parishoners at St. Vincent Pallotti moved their big pieces in the chess game of "what will happen to the church" this week, planting protest crosses along Hopkins Road.
At noon on June 29, following the Sunday mass, parishioners planted hundreds of homemade crosses on the lawn of the parish.
Family members left the church after mass and proceeded to plant their crosses on the lawn - a lawn which just a year ago was the site of construction that they themselves were funding.
The crosses were, said Friends of St. Vincent Pallotti leaders Ed Pierzynski and Mike Gross in a press release, intended to represent "the burden of the current situation imposed on the parishioners by the bishop's intent."
Amen!

What's true for OL Queen of Peace, Pitman & Assumption, Wildwood Crest is also true for St. Mary's Malaga:

"The people in Pitman bought that ground and built that church and it belongs to them. You can't just take it away."

-Anthony Mecca, Queen of Peace Parish, Pitman (also on the slate for closure), May 8, 2008

"This is God's house. Let us live here with God as we've done all these years."

-Fred Spiewak, Assumption Parish, Wildwood Crest, June 11, 2008
