Wearing Red Socks to Bed

or Who's Really Running this Diocese?
by Anonymous Contributor

I just want to remind everyone that when we're writing those letters
to the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Myers, and others in Rome, let's
not forget to mention Msgr. McGrath and his role in this parish
planning debacle. I am hearing from various sources that he is the
real puppet-master in the chancery. I'm not sure how true this is,
but a lot of people seem to believe it. He's apparently an ambitious
fellow, and rumor around the chancery office is that he wants to be a
Cardinal so badly that he wears red socks to bed!

It is therefore important that we include him in our letters, because
if we successfully get rid of Galante only to have McGrath step in as
administrator, (which I am sure he would be only too delighted to do,)
we'll still be in the same boat. The only difference would be that the
megachurches would be his legacy instead of Galante's. Let's nip this
potential arrangement in the bud!
