New "Tip Line": Not Just for St. Mary's!

info@savestmarys.net or 856-692-0222 (ask for Leah)

Hi there,

You'll notice that we've announced a new "tip line." I would just like to take the time to explain a little about what this is. We got the idea because--unsolicited--we've already received a few good "tips." It occurred to us that it would be a good idea to invite anyone concerned with the current crisis in the Diocese of Camden to contact us with their

  • concerns
  • news
  • events
  • ideas
  • pertinant links
  • interested media (or media resources)
  • information pertaining to their parish (we'll be happy to publicize information for you if you choose, or keep it confidential)
  • info on diocesan "maneuvering"

Keep in mind that anything you tell us (by email or phone) will be held in confidence, including your name if you wish, unless you specify that we are able to use the information in some way. We believe that it is important in the current climate of oppressive fear that is so pervasive of late for priests, religious, and laypeople to feel comfortable and have a place where they can first and foremost come forward with their experiences. Only then will some in the diocese feel that they can gain the strength and conviction to ban together in the struggle. Keep up hope!

Why Save St. Mary's?

What's true for OL Queen of Peace, Pitman & Assumption, Wildwood Crest is also true for St. Mary's Malaga:

"The people in Pitman bought that ground and built that church and it belongs to them. You can't just take it away."

-Anthony Mecca, Queen of Peace Parish, Pitman (also on the slate for closure), May 8, 2008

"This is God's house. Let us live here with God as we've done all these years."

-Fred Spiewak, Assumption Parish, Wildwood Crest, June 11, 2008
